Our Visit to IITM

Yesterday along with my colleagues I went to Egmore, Chennai Central Railway Stations, Velachery Pool and IIT, Madras to get an idea about the arrangements to be made for Ripples. All the offiicials in all these places are very supportive. At that time I gave a talk to Social Entrpreneur Students at IITM. It was a very good interactive session. I requested the students to extend their wholehearted support for Disability SPorts in India. Students are very much interested to support Ripples. Great thanks to all of them.

Six by 6 Cricket Tournament by Rotary Club, Nanganallur


I am invited by President of Rotary Club, Nanganallur Rt V.S.Ravindran as Guest of Honour for

the Six by 6 Cricket Tournament arranged by them. This is a 2 day event arranged for raising

funds for their village project. For my request to su
pport Ripples, all the Rotarians including

the future Governor Rt I.S.A.K.Nazer responded positively. I am thankful to them for giving me this great

opportunity. Our Joint Secy Mr Sai Krishnan and my father accompanied me.


Today THFCT invited me for their Women's wing meeting. It is a very big NGO which is

working for the welfare of Differently abled people in TN. After my speech about Disability

SPorts and Ripples, Mr Chidambaranathan, President immediately announced about their

intention to Start Sports wing in their Trust. Great Decision.

Paralympic Swimming Association of Tamilnadu Meeting

6th Sep.'12

Today we had a meeting on the arrangements of Ripples - Chennai 2012 with all the Assn members, Chief Patron Mr Narsa Reddy, Vice Principal of Loyola College Fr Anto, Out Reach Dept. H.O.D. Mr John Kaviarasu, Mr Vinodh and Ms Anitha from Scope Int'l Pvt Ltd,Mr Ganesh, Chartered accountant and Mr Deepan from "Love the Girl Child". We discussed on the formation of various teams like hospitality team, resource management team, event management team etc. As venue and accommodation for the participants are finalised, now it's time to think about finding sponsorers for organising the event successfully. We decided to request the Corporates and Socially Conscious people in the society to support us.

My Talk at Loyola College on Ripples

Today I went to Loyola College and met Vice Principal Father Anto with a request to send their students for Ripples. He responded in a very positive manner. And they requested me to give a talk in a seminar arranged for their PG students. I am extremely happy to be associated with Loyola College. I gave my first presentation after starting the Yes We Too Can movement there only. Loyola College is one of the very few educational institutions which are having differently abled friendly infrastructure facilities. And they are having around 100 differently abled students.

Today we had shooting with the support of NFDC officials for a short film on Ripples- Chennai 2012 at SDAT Aquatic Complex. Our heartfelt thanks to NFDC officials, Director Mr Eswar and his other colleagues Mr Yeswatnh and Mr Vijay. Mr Raja, Stadium Manager and his colleagues extended great support for us. We are very much grateful to Mr Raja and his colleagues. Mr Shankar Raman from Amar Seva Sangam attended this shoot. We felt honoured.

Organising Committee meeting - Ripples - Chennai 2012

Today is a memorable and fantastic day. Under the stewardship of Mr Rajkumar I.A.S., Additional Chief Secretary for Sports today we had the organising committee meeting regarding the arrangements for Ripples - Chennai 2012. Ms Kaneegi I.A.S., Secretary for the welfare of the Differently Abled has kindly accepted our invitation and participated in this meeting. Keen interest evinced by the top officials of Sports and Disability Welfare of Tamilnadu in this regard shows the commitment of Tamilnadu State Govt for the welfare of the differently abled. They promised to extend their maximum support for the successful conduct of Rippes - Chennai 2012. We are very much grateful to Mr Rajkumar Sir and Ms Kannegi Madam for sparing their precious time for the sake of our Association.

Paralympic Swimming Association of Tamilnadu

We have formed Paralympic Swimming Association of Tamilnadu to create awareness about the importance and rehabilitation impact of swimming for the challenged people and encourage the challenged people in Tamilnadu to participate in Swimming Competitions at various levels like District, State, National and International.

As a part of this we decided to conduct 12th National Paralympic Swimming Competition (Ripples – Chennai 2012) in Chennai from 6th to 9th December, ‘12 in association with Paralympic Swimming Federation of India.
